We got a new puppy this weekend! Her name is Daisy and she is a puggle, a cross between a pug and a beagle. She's very sweet and lovable, and very playful! Duchess has done well with her so far, but is still not quite sure about her...she tends to still want to play long after Duchess has tired out! That and her piercingly shrill bark have been troublesome for this family transition, but we're hoping to break her of those habits! The people we got her from gave us some numbers of others who called about her, in case we can't make it work, but we're hoping it does because she's so cute and sweet! Here are some pics of our new girl!
She actually is supposedly full-grown...but it looks like we may not have her much longer. We have a couple coming to look at her on Friday to see about giving her a good home. She is sweet, but VERY hyper and she never gives Duchess a rest, which makes for a very stressful home environment! She has to stay in the cage all day while we work, and by the time we get home she is WILD all night...when we just want to relax! So we think it's best to give her up now before we get too attached! Looks like Duchess will be an "only child" until we have a real child! :)
Mike and I were married on June 18, 2005 and have enjoyed every minute of our married life together! We are high school sweethearts, and it all began at good ol' CHS! On October 1, 2012, we welcomed our daughter, Bentlee Danielle, into our lives through the blessing of adoption. She is a joy beyond words! Mike teaches Algebra 2 and Pre-Cal and coaches Varsity football and Freshman baseball at our Alma Mater, Crowley High School. I am a licensed professional counselor working for Presbyterian Children's Homes & Services as a Child & Family Specialist. We own a home in Crowley near family and friends, and enjoy life to the fullest! We feel so blessed that the Lord has allowed our lives to unfold the way it has so far, and we look forward to many more wonderful things in the future!
Congrats on the new puppy. Looks like she is going to be a big girl!
